Preserving the forest: our sustainable commitment

 We source our wood primarily from the Moulin Sawmill, located just 500 meters from our production site. This allows us to produce 100% softwood pellets from local materials sourced from the Auvergne and Rhône-Alpes forest regions. These regions are thriving thanks to exemplary forest management, ensuring the sustainability and quality of the forests for future generations.

  • Massif forestier Auvergne :  700,000 hectares of wooded land, including 49% softwoods.
  • Massif forestier Rhône-Alpes : 1,500,000 hectares of wooded land, including 60% softwoods

Carbon footprint : reducing CO2 emissions

In response to the challenges of climate change, Moulin Wood Energy is actively committed to reducing its CO2 emissions. We have several advantages to achieve this goal:

Proximity to Raw Materials
The raw material for our pellets comes directly from our neighboring sawmill, reducing transportation-related emissions.
Advanced Technology
Our sawdust drying methods use only warm air from our thermoelectric boiler, allowing natural drying at low temperatures.

Wood pellet quality: ENplus® certification

To ensure the proper functioning of stoves and boilers, it is essential to use certified wood pellets. At Moulin Bois Energie, we were among the first producers in France to obtain ENplus® certification, the most rigorous standard for production and service quality.
